Terms of service.

These Terms of Service govern your use of the Beast Rent platform globally. Each city is run by a local operator whose own rental addendum applies to your specific booking, on top of these Terms. Where a conflict exists, the local addendum prevails for that booking.

v5.0 · Master agreement

01About these terms

By using any Beast Rent product (this website, the Beast Rent mobile application, the booking flow) or renting a vehicle through Beast you agree to these Terms of Service.

These Terms work together with our Privacy Notice, the Rental Agreement you accept at the moment of booking, and any city or vehicle-specific addendum referenced in your booking confirmation. Where a conflict exists, the more recent and more specific document prevails.

You can give your consent in several ways: by tapping Accept when you register in the Beast Rent mobile application, by accepting the rental terms on the website, or by digitally signing the Vehicle Rental and Service Provision Terms (via DigiDoc or DocuSign). If you do not accept these Terms you cannot use the services.

We may update these Terms and the price list shown in the mobile application or on the website. We notify Renters by email or in-app message before the change takes effect. Continuing to rent after the new version is effective means you have accepted it.

02Who we are and how local operators work

Beast Solutions OÜ (registry code 17428015, registered in Tallinn, Estonia) is the operator of the Beast Rent platform, the mobile application, and this website. "Beast", "we", and "us" refer to Beast Solutions OÜ and its affiliated entities.

Local operator means the licensed Beast entity that actually owns or controls the vehicle in your booking. Each market has its own local operator, with its own rental addendum tailored to local law, insurance, and currency. The local operator for your specific booking is shown on your booking confirmation and on the invoice.

Your relationship with the platform is with Beast Solutions OÜ. Your relationship for the rental itself (the vehicle, insurance, damage, in-city operations) is with the local operator. Where these Terms refer to "Beast" doing something operational (handing over the car, charging excess, collecting on a parking fine), the local operator is the entity doing it.

Beast is not affiliated with Tesla, Inc.

03Definitions

In these Terms the following words have these meanings:

  • Charging Cards and Charging Equipment: the physical cards, chips, cables and adapters provided in the vehicle for charging.
  • Distance Fee: the per-kilometre fee charged when the daily distance allowance shown in the app is exceeded.
  • Drop-off Area: a parking location where the vehicle can be picked up or returned. The list of allowed locations is published in the app and on the website.
  • Mobile Application: application software for smartphones, tablets and other mobile devices through which the vehicle is booked, unlocked, locked and otherwise managed.
  • Operator: the local Beast entity for your booking, identified on the booking confirmation.
  • Privacy Notice: Beast's data-protection notice, available at /legal/privacy.
  • Renter: an individual who uses the Beast Rent platform to rent a vehicle (defined as "User" or "Customer" elsewhere on the platform).
  • Additional Driver: any other individual added by the Renter who has been verified and approved to operate the vehicle.
  • Rental Period: the time between the moment the vehicle is unlocked or removed from the Drop-off Area and the moment it is returned to a Drop-off Area and locked.
  • Service Fee: any amount payable for services, including the base rental fee, the Distance Fee, and any early-cancellation fee.
  • Services: the services Beast provides to Renters, including the rental services delivered via the Mobile Application and the Website.
  • Traffic Regulations: all applicable laws governing vehicle use, including road-traffic and road-safety rules.
  • Vehicle: a fully electric vehicle that Beast temporarily provides to the Renter for use under these Terms.
  • Vehicle System: the system installed in the vehicle that records location, distance, period of use and other usage data and transmits them to Beast. Includes the remote security mode that Beast may activate.
  • Website: the Beast website at beast.rent and its subdomains.

Lists prefixed with including are illustrative, not exhaustive. Headings are for convenience only and do not affect interpretation.

04Eligibility, registration and verification

To use the services you must register in the Mobile Application or on the Website, supply the personal data, information and documents Beast asks for, and accept these Terms.

Your phone number is your identifier on the platform and your login.

To be eligible you must (i) be an adult under the law of the country where the Vehicle is used and (ii) hold a valid driving licence issued by the authority of an EU member state, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, the United Kingdom, the United States, Switzerland or Canada that permits you to drive the Vehicle on your own.

You must provide photos of your face and driving licence so Beast can confirm you match the licence and that the licence is valid. This may be performed by a third-party service provider (currently Veriff) under the Privacy Notice. You may be required to accept the third-party provider's terms.

Submitting false or inaccurate personal data invalidates your registration and entitles Beast to a contractual penalty of EUR 1,500 plus any further loss caused by the false information.

Once Beast has completed identity verification, you receive temporary login access to the Mobile Application. Login credentials are personal and must not be shared.

If your login credentials are lost or become accessible to third parties, notify us immediately using the contacts in your booking confirmation. Once notified we block your access; any loss before notification is yours to bear.

You may hold only one account on the platform.

You must notify Beast of any change to your personal data (first name, surname, address, personal identification code, date of birth) and your driving licence before continuing to use the services. Any loss caused by your failure to notify is yours to bear.

05General vehicle use and responsibility

Beast does what is reasonable to keep the Vehicle road-worthy and ready to drive. Faults that do not affect road safety, do not significantly affect the Vehicle short-term, and are not caused by Beast's improper maintenance are not considered defects.

You must handle the Vehicle as a careful and prudent owner would, and use it only for the purpose intended under these Terms.

You must follow the manufacturer's instructions in the owner's manual kept in the Vehicle, Sections 04 and 05 of these Terms, the traffic regulations of the country of use, the insurance terms that apply to your booking, and other applicable laws of the country of use. You must also follow any other usage requirements that are customary for property of this kind, even if not listed here.

If the Vehicle is damaged, destroyed, lost (including confiscated) or otherwise becomes unusable, or if anything else prevents you from continuing to use it, notify Beast immediately using the contacts in your booking confirmation, and if necessary the relevant authority (police, fire service). Failure to notify carries a contractual penalty of EUR 1,500.

You use the Vehicle personally unless an Additional Driver has been added, verified and approved. You may not sub-let or assign the Vehicle, or let anyone else use it, without Beast's prior written consent. You are responsible for any loss caused by an unauthorised driver.

You are responsible for the Vehicle throughout the Rental Period, regardless of where it is used.

You are not responsible for (i) defects that appear during your rental but were caused by a previous user, provided you notified Beast under Section 06, or (ii) defects resulting from normal wear and tear, provided you notify Beast immediately and follow their instructions.

Damage during the rental period

If the Vehicle is damaged, destroyed or lost during the Rental Period for any reason, you owe a contractual penalty of up to EUR 600 if the insurer does not cover the loss. You also reimburse Beast for any loss exceeding the penalty and for damage not covered by the insurer (deductible EUR 2,000 on top of the penalty for uncovered events). The insurer's reasons for declining cover (excess, uncovered event) do not affect your obligation to reimburse Beast.

The insurer may demand repayment of an insurance benefit if any of the following applies:

  • The Vehicle was damaged while someone other than the Renter was driving (and Beast had not given prior written consent as in Section 5.1).
  • The Vehicle was damaged and the driver left the scene before police or another competent authority arrived, where their attendance was required by law.
  • The Vehicle was stolen or destroyed while its windows, roof or sunroof were left open, or its doors were left unlocked.
  • The Vehicle was damaged while being driven by a person without a valid driving licence as defined in Section 04, or you had not given Beast your valid licence for verification.
  • The Vehicle was damaged through a breach of traffic regulations.

If the Vehicle is dirtier than it would be after normal use (inside or outside), you owe a contractual penalty equal to the cost charged by the cleaning provider.

Liability

You are fully responsible for breaches of these Terms, of traffic regulations and of other applicable laws, and for any harm caused to third parties during the Rental Period. If your use causes Beast costs or losses (including taxes, fines payable to authorities or third parties), you reimburse them in full. Beast may pass your personal data to authorities and bailiffs so they can collect from you, where the law allows.

If you breach these Terms in any way for which a separate consequence is not specified, you owe a contractual penalty of up to EUR 2,000.

If Beast fails to provide proper service (the Vehicle is not at the agreed Drop-off Area, is not operational, or cannot be used), after you have notified us by phone Beast will at your choice either (i) reimburse the cost of one agreed taxi journey, capped at the amount shown in the Mobile Application, or (ii) deliver a replacement vehicle within three hours. Beast is not liable for any other expense or loss caused by such circumstances.

Beast is not liable for harm caused by your inability to handle the Vehicle in an accident or by other circumstances outside Beast's control.

Subject to applicable law Beast is not liable for harm caused by third parties or by circumstances outside Beast's control (including hacking, technical faults, defects, errors or viruses affecting the Mobile Application or Website; your breach of these Terms; or any action by authorities).

Beast is liable only for direct financial loss (no indirect loss, no lost profit) and only where caused by Beast intentionally or through gross negligence. Beast's liability is reduced by the amount that you could reasonably have avoided.

If you cannot use the services properly, notify Beast using the contacts in your booking confirmation. Disputes are first addressed through good-faith negotiation. Service-related complaints must be filed within three months of the date of use. Beast responds as quickly as possible, no later than 14 calendar days from receipt. If you believe Beast has not resolved the issue fully, you may contact your local consumer-protection authority.

06Specific conditions for using the vehicle

Driving the Vehicle under the influence of alcohol, narcotics or other psychoactive substances is forbidden. You must not drive when ill or tired, or if your driving may endanger other traffic. You may drive only the Vehicle category your licence covers.

You must be completely sober (0.00 ‰) and free of psychoactive substances when using the Vehicle. Breaching this or permitting another person to drive under the influence carries a contractual penalty of EUR 2,500, and Beast may suspend services to you (including blocking the Vehicle and reclaiming it) indefinitely.

To keep the cabin clean and the driver's immediate environment safe, passengers must not consume alcohol in the Vehicle.

Beast operates only fully electric vehicles. Range indicators are indicative; actual range depends on battery pre-conditioning, weather (temperature, headwind), road conditions, surface, and driving style (speed, manoeuvres).

The Vehicle may be used inside the territories of EU member states, all EFTA states, and all other EEA states. Any breach of this restriction makes you fully liable for damage to the Vehicle or to third parties, and for the cost of returning the Vehicle to its original Drop-off Area.

Beast uses the Vehicle System to ensure the Vehicle is used in accordance with these Terms. The Privacy Notice applies to the Vehicle System.

Before each trip you must inspect the Vehicle and confirm there is no clearly visible damage. Any damage discovered must be reported to Beast using the contacts in your booking confirmation; the Mobile Application also lets you photograph visible damage inside and outside before the trip begins. Failure to report means the defect is considered to have arisen during your use and you are responsible.

After each trip you return the Vehicle to an allowed Drop-off Area.

Unlocking and locking the Vehicle may take time depending on the mobile network; you pay for that time, which is included in the use period.

Return condition

You return the Vehicle in the same condition it was in before pick-up, allowing for normal wear and tear. The following are not normal wear:

  • Broken, deformed or mechanically or thermally damaged parts.
  • Equipment or mechanisms not functioning.
  • Body dents, cracks in the paint, clearly visible scratches reaching the primer.
  • Paint wear caused by aggressive washing or other cleaning.
  • Poor-quality repairs or damage caused during repair.
  • Cracks in windows or body.
  • Scratches on windows or body caused by improper use or cleaning.
  • Cabin damage including burns or stains on seats, broken plastic parts in the trunk, broken window handles.
  • On Tesla Performance models, tyre wear exceeding 1 mm per week.
  • Damage to body geometry.

Tyre damage carries a contractual penalty of EUR 100 per damaged tyre. If the tyre cannot be restored you reimburse the full cost of a new tyre.

Damage to a wheel rim: EUR 150 per rim on Model 3 Standard Range Plus; EUR 300 per rim on Model 3 Long Range and Performance, Model S, and Model X.

When something goes wrong

If the Vehicle (i) breaks down, (ii) warning lights appear on the dashboard, (iii) you hear suspicious noises, or (iv) anything else prevents safe use, stop using it immediately, notify Beast using your booking-confirmation contacts, and follow their instructions.

If the Vehicle is stolen or damaged in an accident, notify Beast and the relevant authority (police, fire service) immediately, complete the accident report, and take all steps necessary to prevent or limit further harm to the Vehicle or third parties. Failure to notify carries a contractual penalty of EUR 1,500.

After a breakdown or accident the Vehicle must not be used further if continued use could increase the damage or be unsafe.

Beast may fit alcolocks (a breath-alcohol measurement system) that prevent the Vehicle starting when alcohol is detected. If any level is detected the service is not delivered. If the alcolock fails to detect alcohol and the Vehicle starts, that does not relieve you of liability.

Prohibited uses

You may not:

  • Engage in activity prohibited by the law of the country of use.
  • Repeatedly exceed the legal maximum speed limit by more than 20 km/h.
  • Take part in rallies, time trials, motorsport events or other sports competitions.
  • Drive on race tracks or other motor-sport-specific roads, surfaces or complexes.
  • Disable traction control or use the Vehicle for drifting.
  • Carry more passengers than the registration document permits.
  • Carry loads heavier than the registration document permits, or use the Vehicle for continuous heavy-load transport.
  • Push or tow other vehicles (including trailers) or other objects.
  • Drive off-road or on roads not intended for the Vehicle, including surfaces that could damage tyres, rims, suspension or other parts.
  • Transport people commercially (taxi, courier, food delivery, or similar) without Beast's prior written consent.
  • Use the Vehicle for learner or practice driving.
  • Transport dangerous goods.
  • Transport animals other than as provided for in these Terms.
  • Transport improperly secured items.

Breach of any of the above carries a contractual penalty of EUR 500. If the Vehicle is damaged a separate insurance deductible of EUR 2,000 applies, plus any costs the insurer declines to cover.

Smoking is not allowed in the Vehicle. Animals may travel only in an approved transport crate placed in the trunk; the crate can be requested for the rental. Breach carries a contractual penalty of EUR 300.

Washing, charging and parking

The Vehicle may be washed only at self-service hand washes that do not use abrasive media. Automatic, tunnel or brush-based car washes that may damage windows, paint or coating are not allowed. Breach carries a contractual penalty of EUR 400.

Keep the battery indicator above 40 km of range. If the range drops below 40 km, take the Vehicle to the nearest charger and start charging. Returning the Vehicle below 40 km without setting it to charge carries a contractual penalty of EUR 40. Returning the Vehicle below 10 km of range carries a contractual penalty of EUR 300 regardless of other circumstances.

The centre-console screen may be cleaned only with the dedicated dry microfibre cloth in the glove box; no other cleaning products are allowed.

When parking the Vehicle at any time you must switch off lights and media, close windows, roof and sunroof, and lock the doors.

Parking is not allowed in underground garages or any other area without mobile-data or internet coverage. Without connectivity the Mobile Application cannot reach the Vehicle and an operator dispatch is required; the contractual penalty ranges from EUR 50 to EUR 200 depending on resolution time and distance.

Reading, copying, modifying or deleting Vehicle System data is strictly prohibited, including disabling traction control or enabling drift settings. Breach carries a contractual penalty of EUR 500 plus the EUR 2,000 insurance deductible if damage occurs.

After each trip the Vehicle must be returned to a Drop-off Area. It must not be parked in third-party parking spots or where parking is prohibited by signs or markings. You are responsible for any traffic-regulation breaches related to parking.

In paid parking areas you pay the parking fee yourself or reimburse Beast. Late payment carries a contractual penalty of EUR 15 per day of delay; paying the penalty does not discharge your obligation to pay the parking fee itself.

07Booking, pickup, return

Before driving, the Vehicle must be booked via the Mobile Application. The booking period is shown when you book.

Beast may charge a fee for early cancellation, in the amount shown in the price list in the Mobile Application or on the Website.

To book: (i) log in to the Mobile Application, (ii) choose a suitable Vehicle, (iii) confirm the booking. Confirmation is shown in the Mobile Application.

You may use the Vehicle for the period shown when you receive booking confirmation. Exceeding the maximum permitted use period automatically invalidates the booking and you must return the Vehicle immediately to a Drop-off Area.

Using the vehicle

To take delivery, unlock the doors by tapping Unlock in the Mobile Application.

To start driving, tap Start Drive, then press the brake and engage drive.

Even for short stops, lock the Vehicle and unlock it again later via the Mobile Application.

The battery can be charged free of charge using the supplied charging cards together with the equipment stored in the Vehicle. Using the charging card to charge other vehicles is strictly forbidden and carries a contractual penalty of EUR 200. Lost or stolen charging cards carry a contractual penalty of EUR 50.

When you finish, return the Vehicle to an allowed Drop-off Area.

Beast may swap your Vehicle for another of the same category and parameters during your use for maintenance, repairs, damage correction or other procedures, notifying you at least three days in advance by phone, email, SMS or in-app message. You must enable the swap, including returning keys and other Vehicle items and removing your personal belongings, at the time and place Beast specifies. Failure to enable the swap requires you to reimburse all loss caused.

When returning the Vehicle to a Drop-off Area you must not leave any personal items inside. Confirm that all Vehicle documents, accessories and equipment (key with keychain or card, charging cards and equipment, parking disc, fire extinguisher, the Tesla kit with first-aid kit, hi-vis vest and warning triangle, microfibre cloth for the console, sanitiser, hand wipes, cleaning cloths, umbrella, phone chargers, and where applicable child safety seats and pet crates) are in their original location. Loss or theft of any of these carries a contractual penalty of up to EUR 600.

The Vehicle must be returned and parked in a publicly accessible place where it can be reached at any time. It must not be left behind barriers (except certain airport Drop-off Areas and other places listed in the Mobile Application), in private parking, or on other private property. Breach carries a contractual penalty of EUR 100.

To return the Vehicle, lock the doors as instructed in the Mobile Application and complete any other steps shown, which may include photographing the Vehicle. Confirm lights and media are off, windows, roof and sunroof closed, and doors locked.

Where a website-booked rental return is delayed by the Renter, a contractual penalty of EUR 25 applies per 30 minutes of delay.

When using the Mobile Application, the base fee accumulates until the trip is properly ended per the on-app procedures and the Vehicle is returned to an allowed Drop-off Area.

08Payment terms

You pay Beast the base fee for every minute of Vehicle use, per the price list shown in the Mobile Application at the start of the use period. Renters who book via the website pay a fixed amount for the chosen rental period per the website price list.

The use period is recorded by the Vehicle System; it starts at booking and ends when the Vehicle is returned to a Drop-off Area and locked.

You pay a per-kilometre fee for every kilometre that exceeds the daily (24-hour) distance limit shown in the Mobile Application or on the Website, at the rate that was in force at the start of the use period.

You link your payment card to your Mobile Application account; multiple cards are supported. The linked card must allow automatic debiting. Service fees are debited automatically at the start or end of the use period. A failed payment triggers a notice by phone, email, SMS or in-app message requesting immediate payment and Vehicle return. If you do not pay or return the Vehicle within 24 hours of the notice, Beast may report the Vehicle as stolen to the police.

When you link a payment card Beast verifies it before allowing a rental by placing a hold in the amount shown in the price list. The hold is released to your bank account after the rental ends and is paid in full; release time depends on your card issuer.

Beast may use a third-party payment processor (such as Stripe). The Privacy Notice applies. You may be required to accept the processor's terms.

You can receive VAT invoices by adding the necessary details to your Mobile Application account (per payment card if needed). Invoices are emailed after each trip. The recipient on the invoice is the Vehicle user.

If a payment fails you cannot book a new Vehicle until the outstanding amount and any contractual penalty is paid in full.

If an invoice is not emailed you may request it using the contacts in your booking confirmation. Past invoices remain accessible in your account in the Mobile Application.

If you do not pay in time, Beast may apply for an expedited payment order, instruct a collections company, or assign the claim to a collections company.

If you breach any obligation or restriction in these Terms for which a contractual penalty, late-payment interest, damages or any other indemnity is provided (collectively, fines), Beast may automatically debit the fine from any payment card linked to your account. If the payment is refused, you pay the fine within 10 calendar days of Beast's demand.

Beast may charge late-payment interest of 0.05% per day on overdue amounts.

Contractual penalties in these Terms are treated as Beast's minimum undisputed indemnity. Paying a penalty does not discharge your obligation to compensate any further loss or to perform your other obligations under these Terms.

If the period of service shown in the Mobile Application ends, Beast may require full payment by the end of the period. If you cannot pay in full, return the Vehicle to a Drop-off Area, lock it and end the trip within one hour of Beast's demand. Otherwise Beast may suspend your access to the Mobile Application, immobilise the Vehicle until paid in full, and report the Vehicle as stolen.

The base fee accrues up to the daily, weekly or monthly limit shown in the price list. Using the same Vehicle on the next day, week or month restarts the base fee up to the same limit.

If you do not comply with these Terms, Beast may suspend services to you, cancel trips or bookings, and limit your access to the Mobile Application. Beast may give you extra time to remedy, at its sole discretion. When services are suspended, trips cancelled or access limited, you must return the Vehicle to the nearest Drop-off Area immediately, lock it and end the trip properly. Otherwise Beast may block your access and immobilise the Vehicle or send a Beast operator to retrieve it.

09Other terms

These Terms apply to you from the moment you accept them, whether by tapping Accept during registration, accepting them on the Website, or signing them digitally (DigiDoc or DocuSign).

Beast may unilaterally amend these Terms and the price list in the Mobile Application or on the Website, by giving notice by email or in-app message.

If after notice of amendment you continue to use the Vehicle, you are deemed to have accepted the amended Terms and the new price list. If you do not accept, return the Vehicle to a Drop-off Area immediately and end the trip properly.

Beast's failure to enforce a right or term is not a waiver.

If any part of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the rest remains in force.

Beast may assign this agreement (in whole or in part, including individual rights and obligations) to a parent company, subsidiary or affiliate without your prior consent. You may not assign any rights or obligations under these Terms without Beast's prior written consent.

Your obligations may also be subject to local laws (such as local traffic rules) and you must comply with those local laws.

These Terms are interpreted under and governed by Estonian law. Any dispute arising out of or connected with these Terms (including breach, termination or invalidity) that the parties cannot resolve out of court is settled by the courts of the Republic of Estonia, including the courts that hear appeals from those decisions.

For online disputes, EU consumers may also use the European Commission ODR platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
